I am currently in the two-year program at the Newbury School of Fashion and Design and am majoring in Fashion Design. I am the first person in my family to attend college and I have constantly had to work very hard throughout my education. This scholarship means so much to me and once again I am grateful and thankful that I was chosen for it.

My name is Tenzin T Bakroctsang.  I was born in Kathmandu, Nepal where I was raised by my mother and grandfather. I moved to the United States when I was 17 in 2009.  It was there when I started my fashion journey at Sommerville High.  Since then, I have attended Fisher College and I currently attend the Newbury School of Fashion and Design.  I like to focus on Couture designs and I enjoy details finishing and high-end fashion.  Currently, I am a full-time student and I am also working part-time.  I will be graduating this coming Spring.  After that, I hope to make a full-time career out of my true passion of fashion.
